wow.. why do i do this? it's so depressing to read into the lives of other people... and i realize the world is so big. perhaps i'm afraid to find out just how big the world really is. i'm afraid to step into reality. i'm too comfortable right where i am.

i go to school, and i miss my parents and friends at home and elsewhere. i come home, and i wish i could drag all of mit home with me. change is inevitable, yea? so refreshing and so painful. home is depressing to me. my parents are at work. i'm sitting in front of my computer alone, wondering what everyone else is doing. if i was at school i'd walk down the hall and make fun of people. it's really quite dangerous for someone to be alone for too long. if i weren't insane already this would definitely get me there.

i met a girl who's a frosh at huron yesterday. it doesn't seem very long ago that i was in her position. and yet, it's been six years.. that's almost one third of my life. it's definitely been the best third.. letsee.. what have i done these past years.. learned to cut cucumbers, used power tools, made friends for life, learned to integrate, wore contacts for the first time, learned what a hickey is, drove a car, saw a few eclipses, figured out the difference between an eclipse and an ellipse, decided that the english language is blah, used a digital camera for the first time, pursued the love of my life, went hacking to the top of the little dome at mit, bought a shirt that says 'nerd pride,' went skiing and white water rafting, cried, ran into a tree during a snowball fight, chatted online, slept, ate, burned spaghetti 23 times, painted my room light green, drank for the first time, gave the picture of my rear-view mirror ornament away, skipped down the hall, sang to disney movies, stood at the halfway-to-hell point on the harvard bridge and watched the sun setting behind the buildings with the image shimmering on the surface of the charles river...
